Hello! I'm Carissa! I am so happy you are here! When I got my start in the non-profit sector I felt like I was constantly drinking from a fire hose. I was thrown into a CEO position after joining the board of a struggling local non-profit a month prior. I learned they had two months worth of operating costs in the bank and a month later learned their non-profit status had been revoked for not filing 990s. Every day was a brand new up hill battle and I realized quickly I was facing it alone. I spent so many nights googling, researching, reading and trying to figure out how to right the ship. Years later now and working in different roles and in board positions I realized that this story still runs true for so many non-profits and non-profit leaders. I knew that it needed to be my mission to help non-profits thrive again and never have to do it alone, thus MissionMend was born. From helping non-profits in crisis, to helping those that are thriving and assisting people who a passion to start a non-profit of their own, I hope that you choose us.
